U3A
Members of the U3A Travel Group have been living up to their name and enjoying the trips on offer recently, and there are still plenty to come, the next will be an Afternoon at the Races, with an outing to Uttoxeter on what we hope will be a sunny day in June.
This is the time of year to renew our membership, a hint if ever there was one to those who had forgotten, so the treasurer is busy with some 400 members to look after. Some members are content with one or two activities and pastimes others are out as often as they can fit in, and Special Interest Groups range from the Bridge Group to Model Aircraft Flying, from Country Dancing of all sorts to Kurling, from ‘Short Walks and No Stiles’ to the CARE group with their longer walks, and from Handbell Ringing to Guitar Playing.
The main source of information about U3A would be existing members but you could look on the website on www. countesthorpeu3a.co.uk or look out for the monthly news sheet in the Rainbow Shop among other places. PatsyP
