OCTOBER 2023
FOSTON CHURCH
It was good that the church was open for folk to drop in during the Annual Ride and Stride Event recently. This event began with cyclists being sponsored to tour round local churches and all money raised being shared between the Leicestershire and Rutland Historic Churches Trust and the named church.
It has grown in scope over the years and St Bartholomew’s were grateful for a grant from the fund towards the recent works to the building so it was good that two of us were able to cycle on that very hot Saturday and we do thank our sponsors sincerely.
I need to remind everyone that our services are now on the second and fourth Sunday mornings of each month with Holy Communion celebrated at 9.15. Harvest Festival will be on October 8th when we will be collecting canned and dried foodstuff suitable to be sent to Ukraine please. PatsyP

the buying of souvenirs. Many extra bags, of cuddly Disney character toys, accompanied us home on the bus. The evening was completed with a disco at the Chateau.
A wonder, fantastic time was had by all, with everlasting memories in a true girl guiding spirit.
If there are any girls who are interested in joining a local girl guiding unit, please register an interest at https://www.girlguiding.org. uk/information-for-parents/ register-a-child/

height-adjustable changing bed, privacy screen and a height-adjustable washbasin. The Changing Places unit will NOT be accessible with the usual Radar Key but will need a pin code. There will also be a separate, unisex, accessible toilet with baby changing table and contactless entry with a nominal fee of 20p to deter misuse. An extra disabled parking bay next to the block has been created to ensure ease of access.
