There are several other changes around walking, cycling or riding in shared spaces, positioning in the road when cycling, overtaking when driving and cycling, people cycling at junctions, cycling, riding a horse and driving horse-drawn vehicles on roundabouts and parking, charging and leaving vehicles.
In total, 10 sections of The Highway Code have been updated, with 50 rules being added or updated.

As a disabled resident of the village, it is very helpful if other residents follow the highway code and be considerate when parking vehicles. It causes unnecessary dangers to navigate poorly parked vehicles where there is not enough room for me to pass safely on pavements. Please also ensure that you do not park over tactile (bumpy) tiles as this also causes difficulties with being able to cross roads safely. Thank you for taking the time to read.
  HIGHWAY CODE CHANGES
Did you know that with effect from 29th January 2022 there were eight changes to the Highway Code? It is important that all road users are aware of The Highway Code, are considerate to other road users and understand their responsibility for the safety of others.
A change that people may not be aware of is: when people are crossing or waiting to cross at a junction, other traffic should give way if people have started crossing and traffic wants to turn into the road, the people crossing have priority and the traffic should give way people driving, riding a motorcycle or cycling must give
