CHOIR PERFORM FOR LOROS JUST MONTHS AFTER MEMBER DIED
AT HOSPICE
A Leicester choir is getting their singing voices ready for a charity concert, which is raising money for LOROS Hospice, just a few months after one of their longest serving members died there. Leicester City Male Voice Choir are among a handful of local choirs who will be performing at this year’s One Voice For Care at De Montfort Hall, on October 10th, conducted by Edgars Cuzinskis. And this year’s event will have an extra special place in their heart after 74-year- old David Bowley died at the Groby Road Hospice in May.

The packed musical programme includes performers The Military Wives Choir, from Chilwell, the Fron Male Voice Choir from Pontypidd, Wales plus the Midlands- based Massed Male Voice Choir. David’s wife, Barbara Bowley, said: “David’s passion was singing. He was always singing; he was even singing in his bed when he was at LOROS.”
David went into the Hospice in April, 10 days before he died on 4th May.
