Junior Halloween Disco
T’was the final dark day before Halloween Down at the Niffy, strange creatures were seen. Witches and zombies and creatures most wicked Fly, walk and crawl to the Disco at Cricket!
Friday 30th October was the date of the third Countesthorpe Cricket Club Disco. Another good turnout including more monsters.....I mean children from outside of the club who are always welcome to our lair!
As well as the dastardly Disco run by young cricketer Ben, there were ghastly games aplenty. Mums were transformed into Egyptian Mummies. Braver souls risked their limbs searching for goodies in the Yucky Dip and a game of ‘What’s the Time Mr Werewolf’ brought terror to the gathered as the bloodcurdling shrieks of those chased echoed around the ground. Slug sausages and Bat burgers were on hand to satisfy every appetite as well as plenty of scary sugary treats and dreadful drinks!!! Behind the bar, three dancing devils served chilling concoctions to the gentle men and women who braved the evening to accompany their mini beasts. Friday night Junior Discos are held regularly at the Cricket Club on Bassett Avenue. These are open to non-cricket club members. There is a charge of £2.50 for children aged 5+. Children must be accompanied, however parents can enjoy a full licenced bar whilst their children participate in the disco. Tuck shop and other refreshments are available.

KWIK CRICKET PLAYERS
Thanks to McDonalds at Fosse Park, Meridian Business Park and Wigston for their generous donation of Meal Vouchers for all our Kwik Cricketers. It is great to recognise the youngest competing club players for all their hard work and practise over the season as these are our players of the future.
Well done all and thank you to all parents for their support including travelling across the county to ensure Countesthorpe have been able to field teams at all matches.
