knows what is intended. Large Cabinets are appearing all over the village. Unlike the BT ones, which are dark green and are hardly noticed, the Virgin ones are a light grey and stand out like the proverbial sore thumb. On Friday, Virgin workmen cut through a cable in the Iona Way area of Countesthorpe. Dozens of homes now have no telephones. This has also happened in other parts of the village. The standard of workmanship is disgraceful. Local LCC Highways Officers have been very supportive. I name Bob Holt and Chris Brady in particular. I have
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Dear |Editor
Please be aware that on Monday 14th December 2015, post was found to have been removed from the Gwendoline Drive postbox. Opened and discarded post was found in the surrounding area by my husband, including one of our own cards which was found in this state on a neighbour's driveway, which was what brought the problem to our attention.
The items of opened and empty post were passed to the postman who was collecting from the box just after 9 am that day. The postman said he would pass the information on, however if you posted in this box and your items were near the top of the box, please be aware that they may have been taken, opened and discarded.
I know this warning is too late for this Christmas, but I think people should be aware as I do not see how they will find outotherwise. ContactingthePostOffice is a nightmare!
Sincerely, S Rawling (Mrs)
Hello friends,
Three people built this most charming snow family in The Paddock on Sunday morning. The snow people are somewhat more plump than their makers! What a lovely thing to do, and I’d like to say thanks to the builders for giving many of us such a pleasant moment or two.
And many thanks for the wonderful Herald!
Best regards, John Armstrong
PS three more people turned up a few hours later and destroyed the Snow Family. Such a pointless and heartless act.

They are also required to inform Residents when they are working near their homes. This is not happening. We local councillors have been told nothing whatsoever. When notification is given, it is so vague, no one
