THE NEW COUNTESTHORPE HERALD 17
LOOK CAREFULLY ...
WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?
Do you remember Richard and Jenny Worsfold and their three
children?
Jeremy, Richard, Jenny, Thomas, Sarah, Jon
Richard was assistant curate-in-training at
St Andrew’s in the late 1990s. The family
left Countesthorpe in 1999 to move to
Ratby where Richard was first Vicar, then
Rector, in the team of Ratby, Groby and
Newtown Linford. After ten years they
moved to the Church of the Martyrs on
Westcotes Drive off Narborough Road in
Leicester. Richard is now the Area Dean
of the City of Leicester, keeping an eye on
and have recently enjoyed watching the Leicester fans walk past the house on their way to the game, and heard their cheers from the garden.
Jenny has been keeping busy, finally finishing her Masters in Leadership in Health and Social Care, graduating in July this year, and continues to work as a speech therapist part-time.
The children are all now grown up. Sarah married last year at the Church of the Martyrs to Jon, and they live in Cheltenham with two guinea pigs. Jon works in computing and Sarah is finishing and really enjoying her second year of Midwifery training. They have settled in to a church with lots of other young married couples.
Tom is at Cambridge in his third year of a law degree hoping to go to Bar school in Birmingham in September, where his girlfriend, Zara, is working.
Jeremy is finishing his first year of a Physics degree in Manchester, and loving it. He is hoping to get into more drama again next year. He has settled well in a church where the youth go to the pub after the Sunday evening service!!
Richard and Jenny have just hosted Bishop Isaiah from Tanzania for two weeks, and then are off to Tanzania for two weeks to visit the school and Cathedral there, where Richard is going to be made a Canon.

NEW CURATE
We look forward to welcoming a new curate-in-training, Dave Hover and his wife Gem, on Sunday 3 July.
BRIDGE PROJECT
Thanks to the generosity of the Parochial Church Council, the members of St Andrew’s, the Diocese of Leicester, the Parish Council, various Charitable Trusts, and last but not least those of you who are residents of Countesthorpe, we have been pledged £124,000 towards the total cost of £230,000. Given that the church has already paid out some of the costs, we are currently over half way towards meeting our fundraising targets.
A very heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who have helped us so far.
If you feel that you would like to help us and have not already done so, donations can be sent to
