On 18th March Dr Kevin Feltham gave a talk on Kibworth Rectors. It was a fascinating insight into some of the more interesting characters who have been rectors of St Wilfrid’s Church from 1220 to the current time. The talk also encompassed details of the turbulent changes in the religious and political landscape that occurred during the middle of the seventeenth century which were particularly relevant to Kibworth.
In April 2016. Dr John Sutton gave a presentation on The National Census. A brisk explanation of the history and development of the National Census interspersed with plenty of amusing anecdotes from a speaker with vast experience of collecting and using the data contained within this valuable and controversial document.
The monthly programme will resume in September.
