The Rich Fellow sought revenge by encouraging the Sheriff to hold an archery contest to trick Robin – and everyone was excited when the Town Crier (Alex McPeak) announced there would be a party for the winner! Poggy had the bright idea of sending everyone in disguise and the archery contest started well with Robin hitting bullseye. But to everyone’s horror the Sheriff’s men pounced to take Robin away.
Maid Marion was so upset with Poggy she smashed a glass and broke up a pillow filled with an impressive amount of duck feathers (leaving the stage hands a lot to sweep up...). Amidst the confusion, Poggy misheard Zelda and thought she wanted him to get the Merry Men ready for battle! To Zelda’s horror, she found everyone with swords poised and fighting commenced – but amidst a frantic monologue to the tune of Matilda’s ‘Quiet’, she managed to make everyone stop fighting, just as King Richard and servant Charles (James Freeman) returned from the Crusade at last!
To everyone’s relief, the King knighted Robin, reversed the Sheriff’s evil ways and announced a huge party for everyone! Everyone recognised they had all made mistakes – and agreed to try and be kinder

Blaby district residents can now subscribe to the service in time for their garden waste bin collections to start on 1 April and run to 31 March 2024. There are no pro rata reductions for ‘in year’ payments, so if residents want to benefit from a full year’s service they need to subscribe by 1 April 2023.
New orange garden waste stickers will be issued to all properties who subscribe, and only bins with valid stickers will be emptied. Two sizes are of garden bins are available and residents can subscribe to as many garden waste bins as they need. Online prices start from £28.20, which includes a £2 discount for online subscriptions.
Payment can be made by debit or credit card. Direct Debit subscriptions need to be paid by 15 February 2023. Payments can now be made online by visiting www. blaby.gov.uk/garden-waste.
Existing customers who pay by Direct Debit do not need to do anything as their subscriptions will renew automatically in March 2023. Anyone who subscribes before 16 March will be guaranteed their sticker before 1 April.
Collection dates will remain the same, with collection information available at www.blaby.gov.uk/ collections.

 and inclusive to everyone. There was time for a hilarious version of 12 Days of Christmas, as well as some audience participation, before a sensational finale with everyone showing off their dancing skills at last.
This was our biggest show yet, with an incredible amount of fantastic scenery and costumes, brilliant lighting and sound and a truly amazing cast. Thank you so much to everyone who gives up so much of their lives to make it all happen and put on such a fantastic show for everyone. Thanks also to our brilliant audiences, who also helped raise money for the Group at our Christmas Fairs – we hope you enjoyed the show! Everyone is looking forward to our 7th Annual Pantomime in 2023, Aladdin!
