Open Day
The Parish Council is to hold its first Open Day on 31st May at 4 pm – 8 pm at the Village Hall.
Come along and talk to your Councillors. There will be various displays on show. See what your Council is doing for you. Tea and coffee will be available.
Hanging Basket Competition
Would you like to enter the Hanging Basket/Container competition?
The more unusual the better!

Play Equipment on Dale Acre
The Parish Council are investigating playground designs for Dale Acre Recreation Ground.
The designs will be displayed at the Parish Council’s Open Day on 31st May.
The Parish Council are also investigating providing a trim track around Willoughby Road Playing Fields.
Countesthorpe Country Park
Meetings have been held with representatives from Blaby District Council and Leicestershire County Council.
The Country Park is due to be transferred to Blaby District Council by the developers and it was hoped that the Parish Council would lease the land, however there are important landscaping and drainage issues to be resolved before this can be considered.

Linden Farm Drive Bridge closure
Leicestershire County Council has
closed the bridge at Linden Farm Drive
due to health and safety issues. This has been highlighted in a structural engineer’s report.
Fencing was put in place to
protect members of the public; however
as this was vandalised on several occasions, palisade fencing has now been erected.
