Now the band has re-formed, together with Andrew Atkins (vocals) and Reuben Vaughan (drums) and has just recorded a new EP ‘Evolution Delusion.’
We are pleased to announce that Patmos will be appearing at Countesthorpe Baptist Church on Saturday 16th April. The doors open at 7:30pm; the band will be playing at 8:00pm. This is a free event open to all the community. Refreshments will be served at the close of the night. Starting Tuesday 3rd May at 7:30pm each evening will be our new Christianity Explored 2016, which is a seven-week course that introduces people to Jesus Christ, through Mark’s Gospel.
We will be discovering, Who is Jesus? Why did he come? And asking the question, What’s it all got to do with me? You can ask questions or just sit and listen, it’s up to you.
We hope by the end of our time together that participants will have a more meaningful understanding of Jesus and the Christian faith.
If that isn’t enough to whet your spiritual appetite, what about your physical appetite, because each evening we shall be enjoying a takeout together, whether Indian, Chinese, pizza or fish and chips - the choice will be yours - each week. Christianity Explored is a free community event hosted by the Baptist Church to bless the community with the good news of Jesus Christ, so if you want to be part of it then booking is essential in advance. The Leicester-based Christian rock band, Patmos, has gone through many changes over the years and was founded around 20 years ago by guitarist Michael Reynolds as a vehicle for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Michael was joined by Steve Crick (bass) and Chris Ardington (keyboards) and the band was active in the Leicester area until Michael left for Brazil in 2002, where he was involved in Christian missionary work.
