REUNION TO MARK
50 PLUS YEARS OF THE
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
A gathering of over 100 former pupils from Countesthorpe Community College (now Countesthorpe academy) took place on Saturday 17 June at the college.
The reunion was for pupils who attended between 1970-1979 and who are part of the ‘class of the 1970s’ group on Facebook There was also a sprinkling of teachers from that period who together with many of the pupils travelled far and wide to be part of the celebration.
Donna Barrett (formerly Donna Sibley) organised the evening and was one of the first pupils to attend the college in 1970-1974. Donna had originally planed this event for summer 2020 which would have been a 50 year reunion but Covid scuppered plans for that!
