HEAT WAVES AND DOGS
From a concerned dog owner, posting on FaceBook. Please don’t walk your dogs in 29 degree heat. Popped up to the village around 6pm ish and saw many a dog being walked. It is way to hot for them.
The temperature has to be this hot for minimum of two entire solid weeks in order for our dogs to climatise - this very rarely happens in this country therefore it is not advised to walk dogs when it reaches temperatures in the mid to high 20s and above.
Your dog will not die from not being walked but they might from being walked in the heat from heat stroke.
Let’s use our common sense
My dog will not be getting walked on hot days. Thank you.
NEW BRANDING
EMBRACING A MORE
FITTING MODERN LOOK
Hinckley & Rugby’s new brand, with its distinctive yellow and grey colour palette, brings with it a clean and contemporary look and feel, but this is not just a colour The Society has been supporting borrowers and savers across the UK for almost 160 years, but recently has been on a significant journey of modernisation. The first signs of this were the launch of a new website in 2023, and more recently, an online portal to meet the diverse needs of today’s digital consumers.
As the mutual now introduces a new Purpose and Ambition which reflect a renewed commitment to put the customer first, the long-established green and white colour scheme, which served the Society well for years, now feels out of sync. Integral to the refreshed brand artwork is the Hinckley & Rugby ‘thread’ which not only runs through imagery, but also creates the ampersand in the new logo. The thread is designed to illustrate the tie between the Society and the communities they serve, symbolising the connection with members throughout the milestones in their lives.
Danny Cranie, Chief Customer Officer at Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, said: “We are refreshing the brand to embrace a more modern aesthetic, which realigns our image with our evolving purpose as a mutual organisation - that ‘we are here’ for our members.
“We are here to have a positive impact on our members, our people, our communities, and the environment. Our brand represents this position as a forward-thinking Society with customers at the heart of everything we do.”
The Society continues to invest in both technology and their people to provide improved services, and greater choice and convenience for their members. Hinckley & Rugby remains committed to retaining its high street presence, and the new brand will be rolled out gradually across the branches and agencies in Leicestershire and Warwickshire. In addition, a new mobile app displaying the new brand will be launched later in 2024 to enable members to manage their accounts securely, wherever they are.
