bus tour of the centre and drove round the Arc de Triomphe, before finally stopping near to the Eiffel Tower. 674 steps were climbed to the second level of The Eiffel Tower, where we enjoyed a 360 degree view of Paris – including The Seine, The Grand Palais, Montmartre, Louvre and many more famous sights. We were 377 feet above the ground and many wonderful pictures were taken. Walking down seemed to be quicker and easier! Following this we then boarded a Seine River cruise and saw many of the historical buildings of Paris, including local Parisians walking along the Seine, who delighted in waving to us. On arrival we were allocated to our rooms and enjoyed the food from the canteen, a favourite being the tasty chocolate eclairs. During the first evening we made our own delicious crepes and topped them with a variety of fillings.
The following morning, we made our baguettes and boarded the coach and headed for central Paris. We enjoyed the
The next day, an eagerly anticipated visit to Disneyland beckoned us. We were ready for the gates to open and enthusiastically headed for a variety of rides- Indiana Temple of Peril, Pirates of the Caribbean, It’s a small world, Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear, Thunder Mountain, and The Tower of Terror. The day was completed with the watching of a Disney parade
